Description: Set out to learn about textures today. I wanted to be able to produce a peeling skin looking effect and this is what I came up with.

There are two images. The first is the image of my head. Yes, it’s another self portrait. The second is the image of the cracked paint. The cracked paint layer is set above the face layer. The cracked paint layer is using the overlay mode. I also adjusted levels, colors and a few other minor adjustements and there you have it my experiment with textures.

Description: Stopped at Perkin’s Pier in Burlington, Vermont on my way home from work. The wind was ripping across the Lake Champlain blowing the freshly fallen snow violently over the frozen ground as the sunset over New York. This couple stood holding each other in the numbing breeze. The image above was created from two separate photographs (the couple embrasing each other, and the sunset) taken two minutes apart.

Description: This image was created from a photograph. I cut out the image of the boy and placed it onto a black background. Then cleaned up all the edges and there you have it. My picture of the day.

Description: This Cure CD (Disintegration) sure brings back memories. Haven’t seen the CD case in quite some time (some of the songs are integrated into my current playlists though) so I threw a shirt down on the floor, propped one corner of the CD case up with a few Legos, added some computer-love and within 23 minutes I am writing this run-on sentence. Whew!

Description: This photograph was the only picture I took today. I left work early due to a power outage and while stopped in traffic the wind picked up and nearly ripped the umbrella from this woman’s hands; of course I had my camera sitting on the front seat. Personally I like the colors of the umbrella.
