About me?

No need for that really.  The entire McKennedy.org site is about me and who knows, it might be about YOU too! But read on and I sure you can find plenty about me, if that’s what you’re into.  But really, this is just a place to put all by digital stuff.  Lot’s and lot’s of digital stuff!

Because I can.

But really…who am I?

My name is Michael (aka Mic, Mike) McKennedy, as with most people, every year I age by at least one year.  Seems like some people have an issue saying my name (because I have been calling myself ‘Michael’ for a few years now, as opposed to the name ‘Mic’ which was with me for twenty years or so) because I don’t use ‘Mike’.  I get lots of ‘Hey, how’s it goin’?” or the solid and effective, ‘Hi!”.  It’s mostly guys though, they seem to have an issue saying ‘Michael’.  Being a Michael and comparing the likability factor between the sound of name Michael vs. Mic produces obvious results for me.  Michael has a much smoother sound to it.  Mic is short and stubby.  No flow to it at all.  With that said, I don’t really care what people call me.  Really, I don’t.  I will respond if I hear Mike, Mic or Michael doesn’t matter me.  I have the most incredible family.  I enjoy life – 99% of it!  I sleep about six hours a day.  I drink too much coffee oh and sometimes I like to ramble….this is one of those times…got to go.

What do I do?

I do stuff with computers.  For my full time job I work for a great company called dealer.com.  (That’s not kissing ass either, I really do like my job, the people and the physical place that I work in.)  I also own my own business (okay, so it’s just a website) called VPC Solutions (offers free computer help for viruses and spyware) and I do some freelance website design.  Basically I spend lots of time every day on computers.  When I am not on a computer I am with my family or thinking about things to do with a computer, or both.

What are my interests?

Family, computers, computers, computers and ….computers, ah, I mean, mountain biking, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, music (I love music), photography, video, outdoors, hiking, and computers.  You could say that I am part geek, athlete, rocker-punk-techno, hippy, father and husband.
