The Winooski River
This series of photographs was taken from the banks of the Winooski River alongside the Volunteer’s Green in Richmond, Vermont. It’s made up of three photographs all taken with different exposures and then mashed together (in a nice way), also called HDR photography (or High Dynamic Range photography).

This dragonfly was caught in a spider’s web on my front porch. I was going to pull it out so I could get some photos under a macro extension tube but when I touched it I could see that it was still alive. I grabbed a stick and put it beneath the insect’s feet and it latched on. I took it into my house placed it down on some white paper and grabbed some lights to illuminate the subject. It sat for quite a while and eventually got frustrated and flew off. Still haven’t seen it, it’s somewhere in my house.
Here are a few shots from this session with the dragonfly.
